On a mobile device, exit intent is triggered when the visitor clicks on the back button in the browser or swipes back:
or =
Even if the visitor navigates directly to the site, the back button will be enabled if a campaign is targeted to the page and has the exit intent trigger active.
Unlike the desktop exit intent trigger, the campaign won't trigger if the visitor exits the site by typing a new address in the browser or if they close the tab directly:
Should the mobile exit intent trigger not provide the experience needed for website visitors, it's possible to create two versions of the campaign, one for mobile and one for desktop. Each campaign can have different triggers so the mobile version is not based on exit intent but time delayed, for example.
