Buttons are one of the conversion elements you can add to your campaigns. These help you drive click-throughs to pages of your website.

To add a button to your campaign, click to add an element, choose the "button" element type and a button will appear in your campaign, ready to be edited.

Editing your button text

To edit a button, double-click on its text and the text editor will be activated.

In the button text editor, you can style specific words, add an image, merge tags, and more. ย

Any content added will be contained inside the button and clicking any content inside the button will perform the button's actions.

Styling the button's design

To style the button's design, click the "Design" tab in the panel.

Here you can control the button's positioning in your campaign, whether it displays on desktop/mobile, button colors, fonts, width, padding, roundness, drop shadows, and more.

Setting the redirect URL

With a button selected, you can manage that button's actions by clicking the "Actions" tab in the builder panel.

Here, you'll be able to control what happens when someone clicks your button. Here are some of the actions you can perform upon button click:

  • Redirect to a URL

  • Show another funnel step

  • Or even display another campaign you've created in ConvertFlow (button to popup for example)

  • Open an SMS message to a phone number

Select the confirmation action you want, and you'll be able to configure the settings

Adding automations

Here you can also add "Automations". These can be automations in ConvertFlow such as sending a lead alert to a team member, adding a tag to the contact, etc.

You can also add automations in your integrated email service provider. For example, for MailChimp you can choose which list you want to add the contact to.ย

Add as many automations as you need to properly segment your contacts into the right audiences in your connected tools.

Running custom scripts and conversion pixels

By adding scripts to your button's confirmation actions, you can fire conversion pixels in your advertising platforms and perform other custom javascript. ConvertFlow will run scripts added here once the button has been clicked.

Conditional actions

Upon clicking the button, ConvertFlow will always perform the default action you've configured.

However, there may be scenarios where you want to perform conditional actions only for certain people, such as redirecting visitors to a different URL depending on their quiz answers or field values.

By clicking "+ Add Conditional Action", you can perform conditional actions only for the visitors that meet the conditions you've defined. [Tutorial โ†’]

Reporting on button clicks

Head to your campaign's funnel breakdown report to see how many people are clicking your button element.
